ENA Wins Nashville Technology Council’s Prestigious “Infrastructure Group of the Year” Award
January, 30 2017

Nashville, TN (January 30, 2017) – Education Networks of America (ENA), a leading Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider for K–12 schools, higher education institutions, and libraries has been selected as the recipient of the Nashville Technology Council’s (NTC) prestigious “Infrastructure Group of the Year” award.

Presented at the 8th Annual NTC Awards ceremony, the award recognized ENA’s significant and impactful work in helping make transformative digital learning possible. The NTC specifically noted ENA’s work in delivering managed Wi-Fi services to hundreds of schools across the country including over 100 economically disadvantaged schools as part of Apple’s ConnectED Initiative.

Launched in 2013, the national ConnectED program called for support from the federal government, businesses, states, school districts and communities to place effective and engaging educational technology into America’s classrooms. Apple committed to donating iPads and MacBooks along with other enabling products, services, and tools. The company selected ENA Air, ENA’s comprehensive managed Wi-Fi service, for the project.

“It’s been an honor to witness first-hand the positive transformations that are occurring within the schools we’ve been able to serve,” said Michael McKerley, ENA’s CTO. “This award speaks to our team’s commitment and dedication toward improving the learning environments in today’s school. We are always developing new infrastructure services and enhancing our current suite of services to make it easier for our education and library customers to do their jobs more efficiently and operate effectively in an increasingly digital world. It’s what we’re all about, and we couldn’t be more honored to receive this prestigious award.”
In addition to Apple’s ConnectED program, ENA has secured statewide contracts to provide its tailored Wi-Fi services on an opt-in basis in Tennessee, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Idaho, and Illinois. The company also delivers robust and reliable broadband, Wi-Fi/LAN, communication, and cloud services to education and library communities in 32 states nationwide. Empowered by solutions that save them time, money, and frustration, ENA’s customers can focus on what matters most: preparing students, strengthening communities, and building leading educational enterprises.
